how to identify a cell phone number

need to cross reference a cell phone number, but dont wanna used a credit card. any industry leading sites. i have a cell phone number that i really need to cross reference, there are all kinds of websites that say industry leading, but when they want a credit card number. does anyone know of any website that is industry leading because i really need to know who this number belongs to.. most places charge now a days.it is called reverse search on the number. type industry leading reverse cell phone lookup and see what you in yahoo search window. it may give you enough info to what you need. like the name to go with the account etc maybe not an address. since cell phone bounce from tower to tower and dont have an actual home. know what i mean.they search on the owner account address not where the cell phone is at that moment.
